Tour of my Life

I have decided to take this opportunity to show you all a little of my life in Salamanca. Things such as where I live and where I go to school! The past week was more or less tranquil, not much went on. I went out this weekend with some friends and met some new friends also! Friday night I went to a friends house for pizza and drinks and then we went out for some drinks to a bar called O'haras, which is an Irish Pub. It was an interesting night because I was with 3 people from Brazil-Mari, Ruy, and Adriana, one person from Switzerland-Greg, the side that speaks French, another person from the German-speaking side of Switzerland-Kim, and a guy from Germany-Thomas, plus me from the U.S. It was a great mixture of cultures and languages! People were speaking Portuguese, French, Spanish, English, and German! We all had two languages in common: Spanish and English! I am simply amazed by how many people I am meeting from different countries and it is one of my favorite things about being here :) Saturday night I went out with my new intercambio from Spain, Silvia, and her sister Miriam, they both are learning English and so we practice both languages! It was an eventful weekend and I got a lot of practice with my language and got to go out and have some fun dancing and taking in the nightlife culture of Salamanca! Sunday was a day of rest and studying and, also, a new guy moved into our house with us! He is from Italy and his name is Fabio, he will be here for a month and he is here to practice his Spanish. So I met him Sunday and we walked around Salamanca for a while and I showed him the important historical buildings in Salamanca and we went to dinner together. He is very nice and another person for me to practice my Spanish with!!
Anyways besides those exciting experiences, the week was very tranquil, like I had mentioned. School has been going great, I am learning so so so much! I am gonna nerd out for a second and confess my love of Spanish grammar -lol- I study a lot and I have started running through the beautiful Salamancian streets, which is precious! I don't think there could be any better place to run than in Spain, there are things to look at in every corner, and running by the river is like the ultimate form of therapy!
But, now to the exciting stuff...my house! Pictures to share of the apartment building and my school!

This is my lovely bathroom :)

And now a lovely look at the way I take to go to the restaurant for lunch and dinner :) I am one lucky girl to be able to see such beautiful sights everyday as I walk to eat amazing Spanish food!

Just thought I would share a little of the everyday life of a girl living in Spain and the sights she sees :) The weeks to come hold many more fun activities! Missing everyone but still falling in love with Spain more each day <3 Until next time...
